Message from Chairperson Dr. John A. Cole

Welcome to the Department of Economics and Finance.  The department is committed to student excellence, and our faculty members are committed to academic involvement in cutting edge developments in their respective disciplines.  In the department, we offer rigorous and competitive programs of study at the undergraduate level.

The department maintains a cadre of full-time faculty members, all of whom currently have terminal degrees which qualify them to develop and teach very current material to our students in a consistently effective manner.  Moreover, the school’s AACSB accreditation benchmarks our commitment to a program of continuous improvement for our faculty members to ensure that we do maintain a curriculum that is current, and relevant.  Our faculty members have a strong collective desire to ensure that graduates are rigorously prepared for marketplace competitiveness.

In closing, I note that students and student success are why we are in business.  We invite you to contact us with any questions or to schedule a visit to our department.
Sincerely,

John A. Cole, PhD.
