Department of Accounting - Employment

Numerous opportunities for summer internships and permanent employment are available to students majoring in Accounting. The Office of Career Services as well as other departmental and campus programs are available to assist students in their efforts to launch a successful career.

Summer Internships

The Department of Accounting has an extensive summer internship program which provides opportunities in both private industry and public accounting. These internships are available on a competitive basis and carry no academic credit. Student interns are paid highly competitive salaries. Accounting majors may also participate in the University's Cooperative Education Program.

Permanent Employment

Large international accounting and industrial firms, educational institutions, and governmental agencies regularly recruit accounting majors through the Office of Career Services. More than 150 firms and agencies recruit accounting and business students from North Carolina A&T State University. Excellent employment opportunities are available to accounting graduates.
